The Civil
Department is a division within the Clerk of Court's Office that provides a
wide range of courts record keeping, information, financial management and
Appeal duties. The objective of the Civil Department is to assist the
public, attorneys and the courts with the constitutional and statutory
functions and duties that are our responsibility. Civil Court involves the
following procedures: -
Small Claims
matters involve claims up to $4,999
County Civil
matters involve claims between $5,000 and $15,000
Circuit Civil
matters involve claims of $15,000 and above
